Urban Decay Electric Palette!!!!!

I am so excited to say that I own the Urban Decay "Electric" palette!  If you know me, I love color.  This is packed full of it.  I have had so much fun wearing and playing with all these colors.  I purchased mine at Ulta for $49.00 a bit on the high end when it comes to palettes but well worth the price.

This came with a double ended brush.  I think the brush is ok, I'm just not a fan of double ended brushes.  I like to store mine standing up, with this brush I can't.  I'll be leaving this brush in this palette.

There has been much hype surrounding the issue that four of the colors Slowburn, Savage, Jilted and Urban are not intended for the immediate eye are.  How harmful they are to the eyes?  I am not sure.  I have worn three of the four colors mentioned in an eye look and can say that they did stain my eyelids.  I did use an eye primer and a base shadow to help transition the colors.  That seemed not to help.  It was not a horrible stain.  My eyelids were a reddish tone after I took off my makeup.  I then scrubbed my eyelids (I think that was a bad idea on my part).  After scrubbing my eyelids my eyes were irritated.  I think I would have been better off leaving the satin.  I just felt I looked a little sickly with the red tinted eyelids.

With that being said I'm still going to use this palette.  It has not dithered me from using it, just to use it smarter.  I think the next time when I use those colors, I will use a cream shadow base.

Now that all that hype is out the way, here are my thoughts on the palette.  I love it!  It may not be an "eyeshadow" palette, but a palette of pressed pigments.  I find that this palette is extremely fun and playful.  The colors are packed full of color but they are pressed pigments.  A little goes a long way.  They blend and apply nicely.  The textures of all of the seem to be different.  Some feel extremely smooth and powdery, coming off chalky.  Some feel a tad bit gritty and are  extremely pigmented not needing much product to get the job done.  In all minus Revolt, have some type of sheen/shimmer to them.  Revolt is silver and sparkly.  My favorite color and I can't even believe I'm going to say this, is Thrash!  It is such a unique color that I want to continue to play with it and see how many looks I can create with it.

Would I recommend this?  YES!  This is a part of Urban Decays permeant collection and I'm glad it is.  This may not be an everyday collection of pressed pigments, but a great collection of colors.  If used with other colors such as neutrals, this could easily be worn everyday for those who are not use to so much color. I'm in love with this "Electric" palette.
