Hi everyone!
It's Nadine here today and I am very excited to be posting on Shona's blog as her blog was one of the first blogs that I started reading and I am glad that I could help her out while she recovers. I thought that I would do a post about the products that I use in my morning and evening skincare routine as these are some of my favourite posts to read because I am obsessed with all things skincare. I am also quite nosy and like to see what products are in people's bathroom cabinet and these types of posts are great for that :-)
Morning routine
In the morning I like to keep things quite simple and I don't like to spend an awful amount of time in the bathroom using about 20 different things at once. As much as I would like to do this, I don't have the time or energy in the mornings especially before school so I keep things simple by only using 3 products. To start with, I will use 1 pump of my Bioré Ice Cleanser and then use my little blue face exfoliater to work it in while gently exfoliating my face. I bought this from eBay for 99p a while ago and it has been a staple in my routine ever since. After washing that off I like to use a toner. The one I am currently using is the Sanctuary Spa pore refining toner. I have a mini version and I am planning on buying the full size one when this one runs out because it is pretty much the best toner that I have used. To finish my routine off I like to moisturise with the Simple Light hydrating moisturiser and then I am ready to apply whatever makeup I will be wearing for the day.
Evening routine
My evening takes quite a bit longer and involves a few more products. To start off with I use the Una Brennan Vitamin C Cleansing Oil as a first cleanse to get all of my makeup off and clean my skin. For my second cleanse, I use the Bioré Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser again along with my blue exfoliator just to make sure my pores are extra clean and free from all makeup. Next I will normally use a mask, my favourite 2 being the Garnier 2-in-1 wash and mask and the Sanctuary Spa Thermal Detox mask. After leaving that on for 5-10 minutes, I will use a damp flannel to wipe it off and then pat my face dry with some cotton wool. I will then use the Sanctuary Spa pore refining toner again to close my pores after cleansing. Next I will use the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo all over my face, applying a little bit extra to any blemishes and spots that I may have. As it is much colder now I have gone back to using a night cream and the one that I am currently using is the Cyclax Night Cream to provide some extra moisture to my face and prevent it from getting dry and flaky during winter. Finally to finish off, I use a Benefit eye cream that I got from a mini Benefit skincare for my birthday and then I am all done and ready for bed!
I hope you enjoyed this post and finding out more about my skincare routine and I would love to know what products you use in your skincare routine. Thanks again to Shona for letting me post on her blog. I hope you have a great week and I will talk to you soon!
