Me & My Selfie 004 by Zara

Bounce It by Collie Buddz and Stonebwoy
If you didn't know, Zara makes perfumes and they are pretty good. Granted they're not the only fast-fashion retailer to step into the olfactory world but, in terms of making good quality dupes and scents that don't completely smell banal, they are a nose above the rest.
Today I bring to you, Me & My Selfie - a relatively new (but not the newest) addition to Zara's 2019 line up of fresh, invigorating smells to captivate and lure those coins out of your wallets. Me & My Selfie is a part of Zara's Improbable series which comprises of big 120ml bottles and little 30ml ones you can decant into.

Out of the 4 that were on offer at the time, Me & My Selfie (M&MS) captivated me the most and seemed like the strongest scent - although I was and am still taken with the bright red "Sense of Glam" bottle.

Notes - Almond, Magnolia, and Tonka Bean
The Scent
It's pleasant. Not too sweet or cloying. It has a warmth to it, some subtle intrigue, tasty almonds, and Tonka Beans give it a yummy fresh quality at first spritz. However, it's not particularly outstanding and perhaps a tad trite. I know how odd since I said Zara perfumes are often not boring but, after wearing it for a while - it just felt so meh. Of course, it is a pretty scent that's feminine in its allure but not outwardly feline if you catch my drift. Meaning whilst it is a pretty girly scent with some juiciness to it (fruity in its beginning), it's not brimming with the refined nuances of an overtly ripe intoxicating juice, it's just ripe and that's fine and nice enough. It's sweet enough to give some kick but tame enough to not offend the scent police at beige and grey workplace spaces. Great, yet mediocrity rarely excites.

Similar to: nothing particular in my collection although folks have likened it Dior Poison Girl/Hypnotic Poison and Zara Violet Blossom. Since I don't own either I can't say nay or yay for now't.

The longevity: It can last for longer than let's say 5hrs but don't expect it to evolve through wear like more complex perfumes. It will just lessen.

Summed up thoughts: With all I've said, I do like it but I'm not entirely enamored. I do wear it daily and after writing this review I found myself warming up to it just that little bit more to it. So, who knows how this scent-uationship may end.

Have you tried any Zara scents lately, what are your thoughts on their fragrances?
