The fact that Nick has been on the radio for all these years is amazing and are an indication that management really has little regard for the quality of on-air talent through the years. What exactly happened during the tenure of the management in 2008 and why it was such as working in hell for Nick Digilio was not in particularly explained as nick discussed the current WGN management in glowing terms with fellow on-air talent.
Management likes on-air cheap talent like Digilio who are guaranteed to stay away from controversial subjects and talk the corporate line-in his case usually being all about movies. Nick Digilio only topic of discussion is movies and all about movies and how a guy like this was ever allowed out of the supermarket and onto on-air staff is a question that only Roy Leonard and his legacy can answer. Perhaps the worse aspect of Roy Leonard's brilliant radio and broadcast career is that he insisted and nurtured radio for the likes of this idiot Nick Digilio to continue to talk movies instead of real issues on a 50000 watt radio station in Chicago.
