A slow burner

I have started a new project which has the sole purpose of entertaining me at the cabin. I gathered together all of my stylecraft yarn, a few other significant DK balls, a 4.5 mm hook and a pattern book. I packed them all in a cloth bag I found in the house in clear up week.

I am going to make a blanket with no time constraint or pressure, just pure hooky fun when I am there. The pattern is from a USA book my friend bought me from Aldi about 6 months ago.

It makes a lacy throw, or I may just hang it on the wall to kill a bit of the pine colour.

The reason I can do this is because my clever bloke has set up a 12V battery linked to a solar panel so we have more than candlelight in the evenings.

Plenty for me to crochet and bloke to read.

We still lit one of our homemade candles though.

We woke this morning to rain so we were glad we did our harvesting yesterday. We have had a steady stream of fruit and veg every couple of days for about 8 weeks now.
