On March 29th I attended a Questers fundraiser with the proceeds going to Crocker House Museum in Mt. Clemens, MI.
Questers embody the excitement of searching for perfect treasures, the love of learning about antiques, the interest in history, and the joy of working on preservation and restoration projects.
The Mah-Nah-Be-Zee Questers group was formed in 1999, and this was the 15th fundraising luncheon they've hosted. What started out as a few decorated card table tops in a church basement, has grown into 59 full-size decorated tablescapes in a large banquet facility.
As the ticket states, this year's theme was "Anything Goes."

The doors opened at 11:00 a.m., so I really had to fly to get all 59 tables photographed before the luncheon began at 12:00 o'clock.
The first place table and nine runners up were acknowledged. Today's post will include those tables, plus the anniversary table with a decorated card table top from the early years, and table #11 where I sat. The creativity was amazing, ranging from beautiful and elegant, to fun and whimsical.
~15th Anniversary Table ~
"The Beginning" 1999
Table #11 where I sat.
The battery-operated votive candle was our favor to take home.
The Winning Table was #35 "Pollyanna's Surprise"
[The table hostess has a vintage shop with the same name.]
The table had a canopy, decorated chairs, and a multiple-layered tablescape. Much thought, preparation, and detail went into this table. My pictures don't do it justice.
1st Runner-Up Table #9 "Do You Have A Clue?"
2nd Runner-Up Table #38 "It's Seusstatic"
3rd Runner-Up #32 "Breakfast at Tiffany's"
This was Cristy Bennett's table. I attend her theme teas in East Lansing and have blogged about them. I was hoping she'd win first place, but 3rd runner up out of 59 tables is very good.
4th Runner-up #48 "The Hunt"
A masculine tablescape. Notice the chargers are sliced tree trunk slabs.
5th Runner-up #24 "Hello Kitty"
6th Runner-up #17 "Spring Has Sprung"
7th Runner-up #57 "Fire and Ice"
8th Runner-up #13 "Celebrate"
[This table was my second choice. It was beautiful.]
9th Runner-up #29 "Clowning Around"
More tablescapes tomorrow!
