First, I recently (2013) received in the mail the 50th and 60th anniversary issues of the Beano and the Dandy, and I found a menace afoot for the Beanos’ 60th anniversary issue.
The Big Eggo strip below originally appeared in the very first Beano (issue dated 30/7/38) (the scan below is from a reproduction issue for the Beanos’ 65th birthday.
for the Beano’s 60th Anniversary issue, a certain menace wreaked havoc on Eggo’s page (notice how Dennis obscures Little Peanut in the “menaced reprint”)
From the 60th Anniversary issue , issue dated 1/8/98.
Next, It's Dennis Down Under.
Back in 2003, Dennis found himself through more menacing means in outback Australia
.
Not only Dennis and Gnasher, but Bea as well (triple trouble ;)
below is the image of the back cover.
for those of you who are too lazy to muck around to rotate the image, here is the back cover flipped here.

Now, an assortment of Beano Comic Library ads.
A change of pace today, as I present a mini gallery of ads for the Beano comic Library. (I posted a couple of examples of the Dandy Comic Library ads in the ComicsUK forum here)
The following examples came from the Beano Comic Libraries. the first one features Minnie the Minx and Gnasher. (Beano Comic Library No. 7)
The next one features Danny (of the Bash Street Kids fame) and Teacher from the Beano Comic Library No. 40
Next up, is Dennis and Minnie from the comic library No. 43
Finally, we have the most commonly seen twosome in the BCL ads, Dennis the Menace and Gnasher (this one from the comic library No. 71)
The Beano Puzzle Books (which more or less suceeded the regular comic libraries until the start of the Fun Size) had ads for the Dandy Cartoon Book featuring a rotational advertising cast including Billy Whizz.
Next up, is the original menace squad m as drawn by their original artists. (Davey Law, Leo Baxendale and Ken Reid)
the first strip is Dennis, first appearing in the Beano on 12/1/57.
Next up, is Minnie the Minx, dated 14/2/59
Finally, we have an episode of Roger the Dodger, also from the 12/1/57 issue.
This now concludes my miscellaneous posts on the Beano. I'll have more Beano stuff on the 16rh as look at the Beano No. 1179. More in thirty minutes.
